Adulation Series

   Jill Cliffer Baratta

   FINE ART

This series was begun from a drawing that can be seen in the upper  right hand corner of  Adulation I. The shape of the torso draws attention to how those things we idolize, such as a youthful nubile figure, whether the actual body, or the statue of it,  grow old, and go to ruin. This truth warns us; idolatry may reflect that which we adore, but it is fleeting.
