With over 40 years of immersion and exposure to my husband's passionate interest in Jazz music,  I'm an appreciator and he is a drummer musician. I am interested in visual impressions of the players and sometimes visualize the music itself in an abstract way.

This series is a tribute to Walter Blanding, saxophone player and composer with the Wynton Marsalis Lincoln Center big band. Walter, and others were instrumental (no pun intended) in connecting my drummer husband, Richard, with world class musicians to play with in his music residence at George's restaurant at the Kaufman Astoria Studios in Astoria, Queens, NY. Thank you, Walter. Keep swinging! Everyone else, George's has since closed, but you can keep up with Richard's performances with a variety of amazing musicians:
